Pöllömmäksi menee - More Owly Things

Pöllöteema jatkuu tällä viikolla. Pienen flunssan kourissa kotona pari päivää lepäilleenä sain valmiiksi myös tämän potran pikku pöllösen. Tämän pöllön on suunnitellut hollantilainen Stip&Haak ja sen nimi on "Uil Floortje" eli Floortje-pöllö. Tämä pöllö on tehty merseroidusta puuvillalangasta 2,5 mm koukulla. Olen tehnyt useamman erilaisen tällaisen pöllön ja pidän tosi paljon tästä pöllöstä.


My owl theme continues this week. I have been home with the flu for a couple of days now and was able to finish this adorable little "Owl Floortje" by the Dutch designer Stip&Haak. This owl was crocheted with some mercerized cotton yarn and a 2,5 mm hook. I have made several of these and I just love the pattern.

Afrikankukkapöllö - African Flower Owl

Pitkästä aikaa afrikankukkapöllö. Tämän pöllön on suunnitellut Jo's Crocheteria. Johanna on ruotsalainen suunnittelija, joka on suunnitellut useampia erilaisia afrikankukkaeläimiä. Olen kääntänyt hänen Ravelry-kauppaansa osan niistä suomeksi.
Tämä pöllö on aika valtava! Se on tehty 7-veljestä langasta 4 mm koukulla. Vanua tällaiseen uppoaa valtava määrä, kilon pussi, mutta näiden täyttämisessä ei auta pihistellä, koska lopputulos on todella paljon kiinni huolellisesta ja riittävästä täyttämisestä. Tämän pöllön tein ihan vaan omaksi huviksi, pitkästä aikaa tällaisena sateenkaaren värisenä.


For the longest time, I made an African Flower Owl. This Owl is designed by Jo's Crocheteria. Johanna is a Swedish designer and has designed several other African Flower animals as well. The pattern may be found at Ravelry. 
This owl turned out huge! It is made with a wool blend yarn with a 4 mm hook. This owl takes up an awful lot of polyester filling, but one must never cheat when stuffing a stuffed animal, since the final appearance has so much to do with how well and evenly they are stuffed. I made this one just for fun, in rainbow colors this time.

Toinen pikku pöllö - Another Little Owl

Ennen joulua ennätin saamaan valmiiksi myös tämän pikku pöllön. Ohje pöllöön on Stip&Haakin Uil Floortje. Olen tehnyt aika monta näitä pöllöjä ja minusta tämä on yksi hauskimmista pöllömalleista mitä olen löytänyt. Väreinä tässäkin pöllössä ovat harmaa ja keltainen. Lankana erilaisia merseroituja puuvillalankoja. Tällä kertaa pöllö sai keskenään eriväriset siivet ja jalat.


I finished this little owl a little before Christmas. The pattern is by Stip&Haak "Uil Floortje". I have made several little owls with this pattern and I think it's one of the cutest I have come across. The colors in this owl are gray and yellow, too. The yarns used were different mercerized cotton yarns. This time the owl got  different color wings and feet.

Pöllömpää juttua - Owly things

Sain eilen valmiiksi kaverini uudelle vauvalle menevän pöllön. Vauvan äidin toive oli kelta-harmaa pöllö. Sain lisätä väreihin vielä valkoista pyynnöstäni ja päädyin tällaiseen kahden harmaan, valkoisen ja hennon sitruunankeltaisen yhdistelmään. Pöllö on hollantilaisen Stip&Haakin suunnittelema Uil Floortje. Olen tehnyt näitä pöllöjä useamman parin viime vuoden aikana ja nämä ovat kyllä minusta tosi veikeitä. Eri väreillä niistä saa myös hyvin eri näköisiä. Lankana tässä työssä on Phildar Phil coton 3 ja Catania.


I finished this little owl last night. This owl is a Christmas gift to a friend's new born baby. The mother asked for an owl that was yellow and gray. I asked if I could also add a little white and ended up with this gray, graphite, white and pale lemon colored outfit for the owl. The pattern is by the Dutch Stip&Haak and is called Uil Floortje. I have made several of these little owls and I just love the pattern, they are so cute! Using different colors you can get very different looking owls. The yarn used was Phildar Phil coton 3 and Catania.

Afrikankukkapöllö - African Flower Owl

Tänään valmistui tämä vihreän sävyinen afrikankukkapöllö. Ohje on Maggie the African Flower Owl ja sen on suunnitellut Jo's Crocheteria, (joka on ruotsalainen suunnittelija) ja se on ostettavissa täältä. Ohje on saatavilla nykyään myös suomeksi allekirjoittaneen kääntämänä. Lankana on puuvillasekoitelanka. Täytettä tähän pöllöön menee valtavasti, mutta täyttämisasioissa ei koskaan pidä huijata, sillä huonosti täytetty, vajaa tai muhkurainen pehmo ei ole kovin kivan näköinen. Pöllön langat ostin viimeviikkoisella matkallani Karnaluksiin.


Today I finished this lime, turquoise and white colored African Flower Owl. The pattern is called Maggie the African Flower Owl and it is by Jo's Crocheteria, which is a Swedish designer. You can find the pattern here. The pattern is now also available in Finnish, translated by yours truly. ;) This owl takes an awful lot of polyester stuffing, but you should never try to save on the stuffing, since too soft, ill fitted, lumpy plush toy ends up looking pretty horrible. The yarn used is a cotton blend which I bought last week on my visit to Karnaluks. 

Sateenkaaripöllö - Rainbow Owl

Tänään on ollut aikaa viimeistellä töitä ja myös kirjoitella blogia. Valmiiksi tuli heppojen lisäksi myös tämä kaverin siskolle tehty sateenkaaripöllö. Lankana 7-veljestä sateenkaari. Paksummalla langalla tuli hieman isompi pöllökin. Ohje Stip&Haak.

I had some extra time today to finish up several projects and to write my blog. Besides the two horses, I finished this rainbow colored little owl. The yarn used is 7-veljestä rainbow. A thicker yarn awarded a little bit bigger owl. Pattern is by Stip&Haak.

Uil Floortje

Löysin netistä taannoin ihan vahingossa Stip & Haakin nettisivut. Siellä on monta tosi suloista ohjetta. Olen kokeillut niistä vasta ensimmäistä, Floortje-pöllöä. Tällä hetkellä tekeillä on kolmas pöllö. Sen kasaus odottaa vielä, että silmälähetys saapuu toivottavasti ensi viikolla.


A while back I found Stip&Haak in the web. I instantly fell in love with some of the cutest little designs they have up there. So far I have only tried out this little Floortje-owl. I am working on my third little Floortje at the moment. It is still in parts until I receive more safety eyes for this cute little creature. :)

 Tässä kaksi muuta pikkupöllöä, jotka ovat jo valmiita. Alempi meni äiskälle ja ylempi yhdelle kaverilleni. Ne ovat vaan niiiiiin somia! :)


Here are the two other owls I have already finished. The lower one went to my mom and this lighter colored one to a friend of mine. These are just waaaaaay too cute! :)
