There have been a lot of pictures of these types of simple scarfs in the Finnish Facebook crochet groups, so I wanted to make one too. This scarf is extremely simple and quick to work up. You only need to chain 25-30 (I used 30) and then work single crochet stitches in the back loop of the previous row. When the work is at desired length, you fold it up and continue to crochet the ends into the scarf with double crochet stitches. I did one round of double crochet stitches all around the scarf. I made mine with Novita Hile-yarn, which is an aran/chunky weight yarn, and is unfortunately discontinued. I like this quite a thick yarn, since it is easy and quick to work with. I also like the silver thread that runs in the yarn. I used up almost two skeins of yarn, which I luckily had in my yarn stash. I am planning on adding two or three pretty buttons when I have time to go to a button store. I definitely should have bought some buttons from the Estonian Karnaluks store while I was there!
