Ja vielä kerran hevosia - Once again horses

Tein ystäväni lapsille joululahjaksi kaksi heppaa hänen toivomissaan väreissä. Tällaiset niistä tuli. :)

Valmista tuli - all done!

Tällainen siitä sitten tuli. :) N. 55 cm korkea. Aika paljon meni aikaa ja vaivaa ja materiaalia, mutta lopputulos oli kannattava. Woolytoonsin ohjetta mukaellen tehty lumiukko.


So, this is how it turned out. It is approx. 55 cm tall. It took up a whole lotta time, effort and materials, but it was definitely worth it!. This Snowman was made with the help of Woolytoons' Frosty the Snowman pattern.

Uusi projekti

Olen katsellut netistä kivoja lumiukkomalleja. Päätin tehdä vähän mukaeltuna muutamasta löytämästäni lumiukon joululahjaksi äidilleni. Ensimmäinen pallo on valmis. :) Lisää kuvia sitten kun työ etenee.


I have been looking for fun snowman patterns. I decided to make one that has some ideas from a few patterns. This will be a Christmas gift for my mother. The first snowball is ready. I'll post more pics when the project is further on its way.

Virkattu lehmä - Crocheted cow

Etsin jonkin aikaa hyvää lehmä-ohjetta, kunnes löysin tämän My Krissie dollsin ohjeen. My Krissie dollsilla on monta muutakin kivaa ohjetta, niistä lisää myöhemmin. :)

Alkuvaiheessa vielä mennään, mutta laitan kuvia sitten kun ammu on valmis. Lankana pitkäaikainen suosikkini Alize Cotton Gold.



I was looking for a nice cow-pattern for a while until I found this My Krissie dolls' pattern. My Krissie dolls has also many other lovely patterns, but more about them later. :)

I have only started making the cow, but I will post more pics once the little cow is finished. The yarn used here is my long time favorite Alize Cotton Gold.

Joululahjoja - Christmas presents

That's no moon...

Löysin tällaisen mallin Star Warsin Death Starista. Tyynyn ohje löytyy tästä. Sekä mieheni, että veljeni ovat Star Wars -faneja (olen toki itsekin), joten joku heistä saa tämän joululahjaksi. :) 

Tyyny oli aika nopea tehdä paksulla langalla. Kirjailuihin meni tosin hetki vielä lisää.

I found this Star Wars Death Star pattern online. The pattern can be found here. My husband and my brothers (and me too!) are Star Wars fans. One of them will get this pillow for Christmas. :)

The pillow was pretty quick to whip up. The embroidery of course took its own time, though.

Sateenkaaripöllö - Rainbow Owl

Tänään on ollut aikaa viimeistellä töitä ja myös kirjoitella blogia. Valmiiksi tuli heppojen lisäksi myös tämä kaverin siskolle tehty sateenkaaripöllö. Lankana 7-veljestä sateenkaari. Paksummalla langalla tuli hieman isompi pöllökin. Ohje Stip&Haak.

I had some extra time today to finish up several projects and to write my blog. Besides the two horses, I finished this rainbow colored little owl. The yarn used is 7-veljestä rainbow. A thicker yarn awarded a little bit bigger owl. Pattern is by Stip&Haak.
