Kaksi uutta heppaa

Eilen valmistui kaksi uutta heppaa. Lila-harmaa, sekä musta-harmaa-valkoinen. Molemmat Heidi Bears designin Fatty Lumpkin -mallista.

Yesterday I finished my two horse projects. Grey and purple one and one in black, white and grey.

A new project

I got a request for a horse that was grey and purple.

Täyttämisvaihe on kriittinen lopputuloksen kannalta. Isoilla möykyillä täytetty pehmolelu on tosi kökön näköinen. Kannattaa käyttää vähän enemmän aikaa täyttämiseen ja muotoilemiseen, niin lopputulos on siisti ja kivan näköinen.


Filling the horse nicely and evenly is very critical in order to get a nicely stuffed animal. If the stuffing is in big lumps the end result will look very unpleasant. Sometimes you see stuffed animals that are very unevenly stuffed. It is worth it to take your time to stuff and shape the project very carefully.

Kannattaa käyttää kunnollista vanua, jonka voi tarvittaessa myös pestä.

It is worth your while to use good quality stuffing, which can also be washed, if necessary.

Fatty Lumpkin

Olen tehnyt myös paljon erilaisia afrikankukkaheppoja. Kesälomalla ennätin virkata aika monta. Niistä suurin osa meni lahjaksi eri paikkoihin. Tässä kuvia muutamista. Itse heppaihmisenä tämä malli on lähellä sydäntäni. ;) Tämäkin on Heidi Bears design mallista "Fatty Lumpkin".

I have also crocheted several African flower horses/ponies. During my summer holiday I had a lot of time to crochet. <3 Most of these were made as gifts. Here are a few of them. As a horsey person myself, this is one of my favorite designs by Heidi Bears.

Reaverse

Reaverset

Tällä hetkellä teossa on useampi pari Reaversejä. Ohje on Rea Järvenpään hyvin kehittelemä ja kirjoittama maksullinen ohje, joka löytyy yllä olevan linkin takaa. Näistä sukista tulee tosi hauskoja ja lämpimiä, koska niissä on tuplapohja.

At the moment I am working on several pairs of this Converse or "Reaverse" (named after teh designer Rea Järvenpää) slipper socks. You can find the pattern for the slipper socks behind the link above. These socks are a lot of fun and very warm, because they have a double sole.

Stip&Haak

Stip & Haak uudelleen

Tämä Stip & Haakin Floortje -pöllö on vaan niin suloinen, että oli pakko tehdä kolmaskin. :)

This little owl by Stip&Haak is just so adorable, I could not resist on making yet another one. :)

Uil Floortje

Löysin netistä taannoin ihan vahingossa Stip & Haakin nettisivut. Siellä on monta tosi suloista ohjetta. Olen kokeillut niistä vasta ensimmäistä, Floortje-pöllöä. Tällä hetkellä tekeillä on kolmas pöllö. Sen kasaus odottaa vielä, että silmälähetys saapuu toivottavasti ensi viikolla.


A while back I found Stip&Haak in the web. I instantly fell in love with some of the cutest little designs they have up there. So far I have only tried out this little Floortje-owl. I am working on my third little Floortje at the moment. It is still in parts until I receive more safety eyes for this cute little creature. :)

 Tässä kaksi muuta pikkupöllöä, jotka ovat jo valmiita. Alempi meni äiskälle ja ylempi yhdelle kaverilleni. Ne ovat vaan niiiiiin somia! :)


Here are the two other owls I have already finished. The lower one went to my mom and this lighter colored one to a friend of mine. These are just waaaaaay too cute! :)

Happypotamus

Uusi hippo valmistui pyydetyissä väreissä. :) Viikonloppuna olikin yllättävän hyvin aikaa tehdä ja sain sen valmiiksi nopeasti. Vähän näyttäisi puhelimen kamera vääristävän värejä. Malli on siis Heidi Bears designin Happypotamus.


The newest Happypotamus is now ready in the ordered colors. I had some extra time this weekend, so I got it done pretty quickly. It looks like the camera in my phone twists the colors a little bit. The design is by Heidi Bears.

Uusi hippo

Tilaukseen tuli hippo vauvelille valkoisella pohjalla, jossa olisi eri sävyistä pinkkiä ja lilaa sekä harmaata ja ehkä myös turkoosia. Work in progress nro 1 tälle viikonlopulle. :)

I got an order to make a happypotamus for a mother-to-be. She wanted different shades of pink, purple and grey. And maybe even little turquoise. This is my WIP #1 for this weekend. :)

Heidi Bearsin afrikankukkaeläinmalleissa on paljon kivoja erilaisia hahmoja. Olen osaa ennättänyt jo kokeillakin ja hipoista laitoin jo kuvia. Helmi-maaliskuussa tein tämän nallen. Lanka on Red Heart baby. Todella pehmeä lanka, mutta ei ehkä kuitenkaan ihan paras tällaiseen työhön.


Heidi Bears' African flower animal patterns have a lot of different really nicely designed creatures. I have tried out several of them. I already posted some pictures of the Happypotamus. Last February-March I made this adorable bear. The yarn used was Red Heart baby, which is a very soft yarn, but probably not the best for this kind of crochet project.

Tällä nallella on vaan niin lempeä ja soma katse ja ilme. :)

This bear just has the kindest little face and look. :)

Eka Nalle matkasi mieheni mummille Teuvalle heinäkuussa. Siellä siitä on pidetty hyvää huolta ja se istuu sohvalla ja sen paikkaa vaihdetaan, ettei se pitkästyisi. Nalle sai siis parhaan mahdollisen kodin. :)

This bear traveled to the middle of Finland in July as a gift for my spouse's grandmother. She is taking such a good care of him. She moves him around the sofa, so he wouldn't get bored sitting on just one spot. :)

Toinen nalle on ollut alkutekijöissään huhtikuusta saakka. Kasassa on vasta keskiruumis. Pään osat on jo virkattu valmiiksi, mutta odottelevat sopivaa hetkeä, että saan koko nallukan valmiiksi. Kuvia sitten joskus valmiista nallesta.


I started making a second bear in April. This is how far I got. This is the trunk of the bear. I already crocheted the parts for the head, but have not gotten around to assemble them together. I will post pics of the finished bear when I eventually get around to it. :)

Happy Hippo

Happy hippo - Happypotamus

Olen innostunut uudelleen virkkaamaan viime vuonna. Tein viime jouluksi veljenpojalleni Laurille ensimmäisen hipon, mutta se ei kaikessa kiireessä tehtynä "maanantaikappaleena" ollut julkaisukriteerini ylittävä 
. :) Tässä kuitenkin muutama tänä vuonna tekemäni hippo. Malli on Heidi Bears designin.


I got excited about crocheting again last December. I decided to make a hippo as a Christmas present to my brother's baby, Lauri. Having not crocheted for a while and being in a hurry, it did not turn out 100% the way I would have wanted to. But the little man was happy with it. :)
