Iloisia ajatuksia - Happy thoughts - Happypotamus

Elämässä on mentävä eteenpäin. Surun prosessointia voi tehdä myös virkkaamalla. Happypotamus (iloinen hippo) on ensimmäinen Heidi Bearsin suunnittelema afrikankukkaeläin. Jotain todella iloista ja suloista tässä kaverissa kyllä onkin. Pitkästä aikaa tein ihan vaan muuten vaan, enkä kenellekään erityisesti. Eiköhän tämä soma kaveri silti vielä kodin löydä.

They say you have to move on. You can process a lot of things, like grief, while crocheting. That is why I made this Happypotamus by Heidi Bears. The Happy hippo is the first African flower animal she has designed. And there is something very happy and cute about this creature. I made this hippo just for fun and for no-one especially. But I am sure the hippo will find a good home eventually.

Suomi 100-vuotta -lammas - Finland 100 years -Sheep

Tein tällaisen lampaan pyynnöstä, Suomen väreissä. Olen tehnyt näitä lampaita muutaman vuoden aikana useita ja minusta ne ovat tosi somia. Tämä vuosi on ollut minulle henkilökohtaisesti vaikea, enkä ole ollut kovin tuottelias. Oli kuitenkin mukava saada taas yksi työ valmiiksi. Lankana tässä on Phildar Douce ja Phildar Phil. I made this sheep for a friend in Finland's colors, white and blue. I have made several of these sheep over the years and I love the pattern. This year has been a tough one for me and I haven't been very productive. It was still nice to accomplish something, to finish this sheep. The pattern is by the Dutch Stip&Haak "Sheep Suusje". The yarn used was Phildar Douce and Phildar Phil.
